Recharge an Old Rechargeable Battery

Rechargeable batteries are always helpful to have around because you can often recharge the batteries hundreds of times before they no longer hold a charge. If you have an older rechargeable battery in your home, no matter what kind it is (AA battery, digital camera battery, cell phone battery) you can recharge it with the appropriate battery charger. The batteries may not hold the same charge as they did when new, but you can still power your portable electronics with the batteries.bn-vf815 battery,BT-H22U battery.

Connect the battery charger into a wall outlet. You can find a battery charger for just about any kind of rechargeable battery at most electronics stores.

Set the charger to "Recharge". Most devices have some sort of switch on the bottom or side of the charger that does this.

Insert the rechargeable batteries into the battery charger. A light appears on the charger while the batteries are charged.

Check the charger every few hours when first using it. Some chargers overheat so you need to test the charger. Unplug the charger if it begins to overheat.
